Concrete Scanning
D. Lewis Company provides state of the art Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) for scanning of rebar, conduit, and post-tension-cables in structures such as walls, floors and decks.
What is G.P.R?
G.P.R. stands for ground penetrating radar and is the primary solution for detecting what lies beneath concrete and similar material surfaces. GPR is excellent for cable and steel reinforcement locating and provides detailed results quickly, without causing damage to the location.
STATE OF THE ART – G.P.R. — D. Lewis Company provides state of the art Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) for scanning of rebar, conduit, and post-tension cables in structures such as walls, floors and decks.
QUICK & ACCURATE GPR — Concrete scanning is a new, real-time, non-destructive testing (NDT) technique that allows for both speed and accuracy. GPR can locate the position and depth of post-tension cables, rebar, and electrical conduits embedded in concrete.
G.P.R Vs X-Ray
- NON-HAZARDAROUS — Using GPR for scanning concrete poses no radiation hazards, is safe to operate in public areas such as schools and hospitals during construction. GPR does not require any evacuation of personnel.
- SPEED, YET EFFICIENT — Unlike radiography, GPR is capable of continuous data collection and provides real-time inspection results.
- SINGLE SIDE ACCESS ONLY — GPR requires only one side access to profile concrete.
- COST-EFFECTIVENESS — The superior abilities employed by GPR proves itself to be the most cost-effective.
